I'm Herbert.  No, I am.  Or maybe I just like Strawberry Jam.  Either way, enjoy both one-act productions this weekend at Shelby County Community Theatre.

Performances of Strawberry Jam and I'm Herbert will take place on Aug. 19 and 20 at 7:30 each night and Aug. 21 at 2:30 p.m.  Performances will happen at the Shelby County Community Theatre, located at 801 West Main Street in Shelbyville, KY.

Tickets for the show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $10 for students.  Reservations can be made at 502-633-0242.  More information on the show can be found at the Shelby County Community Theatre.

Strawberry Jam and I'm Herbert are two one act plays dealing with life and love issues.  Strawberry Jam is a comedy dealing with two sisters living in England as their father dies six months too early.  The sisters must act quickly in order to avoid a Death Duty, which would affect their inheritance.

Jane Martin directed the Bruce Fisk-created play.  The cast will include Mary Dale Hipple, Bunbury Theatre alumni Dale Strange, Martin, Pat Wetherton, and Mary Jo Wetherton.

I'm Herbert is another one-act comedy featuring two senior citizens talking in rocking chairs.  Only problem is they sometimes can't remember the details of the stories or even to whom they are speaking.

Pat Wetherton directed the Robert Anderson-created one act.  The cast includes Strange and Derby Dinner Playhouse alumni Mary Anne Rickert.

The night is the first of the Upstairs at 801 series presented at Shelby County Community Theatre.  The series will present shorter plays and other special events throughout the year.

Following the one acts, Shelby County Community Theatre will present Disney's Mulan Jr., a youth production. More information on the series and the theatre can be found at the Shelby County Community Theatre website.
