The Bats are finally coming back to town after  some away games following the All-Star break. But do not fret! There will be plenty of fun during the 8-game stay at Louisville Slugger Field from Friday, July 22 through Friday, July 29. The homestand will include a series against the Charlotte Knights (Chicago White Sox farm team) and the Rochester Red Wings (Minnesotta Twins farm team). There are several noteworthy promotions including: an appearance by "The Famous Chicken", $1 Hot Dogs & $1 Pepsi Night, Ladies' Night, $1 Budweiser Beer "Happy Hour,” Friday Night Fireworks and more.

At the time this article is being written, the Bats remain in a distant 2nd place behind Columbus in the East standings. A strong finish will still ensure a playoff bid for the Bats, but a tough schedule lies ahead. The Bats are continuing to get stellar performances from Todd Frazier, Danny Dorn, Yonder Alonso and pitchers Tom Cochran and Chad Reineke. No doubt, the Bats will miss the likes of Zack Cozart and Dontrelle Willis who have both recently been moved up to the Majors to help the Reds make a run for the NL Central.

Zack Cozart has already made a huge splash at the Major League level. In 9 games with the Cincinnati Reds, Cozart has 11 hits, 2 RBI’s, his first Major League homer and is batting .333. In two starts, Dontrelle Willis has had 2 solid outings and looks poised to continue his success.

Here is a breakdown of the homestand and all of the promotions that come along with it, Go Bats! Also, check out the video of Todd Frazier at the bottom.
