Theatre 502 has moved into its third season with a series of edgy shows and ongoing productions.
During the 2013-14, Theatre 502 will present Dead Man's Cell Phone (playing now), Edgewise (August), Auctioning the Ainsleys (Sept.-Oct.), The Bigsley Project (Nov.), and The Stranger and Ludlow Quinn (ongoing). Shows will take place in and around Louisville theatres.
Theatre 502 is currently running Dead Man's Cell Phone, a tale of what happens and where people go whan another person dies. That show will continue tonight and tomorrow at The Baron's Theatre.
Coming soon is Edgewise, where three youths attempt to survive a civil war in modern America and avoid a point of no return. That show runs in August at The Clifton Center.
Entering into the fall, Theatre 502 will present Auctioning the Ainsleys, a show dealing with a family that has to auction off their home and the stuff inside - whether they want to let go or not. The auction begins in September at a to be determined location.
The last of Theatre 502's regular shows will also be a part of the Slant Culture Festival. The Bigsley Project features executives trying whatever they can to land the Bigsley account, gain a promotion, and survive an all-nighter. The fun begins in November at Walden Theatre.
During the season, Theatre 502 will present the free show The Stranger and Ludlow Quinn, featuring a woman who uncovers a secret about Mr. Quinn and Louisville folklore. The stories will be told in 10-15 minute chapters every First Friday.
