    Bit to Do

Fun families, ghosts, horses, and sisters are among those that will take the stage during PNC Broadway in Louisville 2013-14 season.

PNC Broadway in Louisville will present five shows this season: Addams Family (now playing), War Horse (Nov.), Sister Act (Jan. 2014), Ghost the Musical (Mar. 2014), and The Book of Mormon (May-June 2014). All performances are to happen in Whitney Hall at the Kentucky Center for the Arts, located at 501 W Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Subscriptions are currently available as a four-show package, with prices starting at $123 per person. Subscriptions can be purchased through the PNC Broadway in Louisville website.

PNC Broadway in Louisville kicks off the season with The Addams Family, that lovably weird family with a dilemma. Their sweet, lovely girl (okay, princess of darkness) has become a young lady and has fallen in love with a seemingly "normal" boy. Enjoy how the family reacts when the show takes place between today and Oct. 20.

Next, War Horse takes us to the beginning of WWI in England. After his beloved horse is sold and ultimately goes into war, a young man goes on a dangerous mission to find him. The dramatic adventure goes on Nov. 19-24.

Broadway in Louisville will open the new year with Sister Act. Based on the successful early 1990s movie, a wannabe diva finds herself in the most unlikely of places - a convent - after witnessing a crime. She ultimately helps the choir, and herself, find their voices, literally and figuratively. The musical goes on Jan. 7-12.

Keeping with the theme of musicals based on movies starring Whoopi Goldberg, Ghost: The Musical will appear in March. After being killed, a young man, now a ghost, refuses to leave the love of his life even when she may be facing danger. In order to connect with her, he contacts a storefront psychic. The moving and entertaining show goes on March 11-16.

Ending the season is the South Park creators Broadway creation The Book of Mormon. The Best Musical Tony winner features two Mormons sent to a village in Uganda where they are more concerned about many other issues besides religion. That doesn't stop the missionaries from trying to share a passage, which only one of them actually read. This production ends the season, running May 27-June 8.

More information on the season can be found at the PNC Broadway in Louisville website.
