Theatre is not just for adults, as Derby Dinner's childrens theatre has proved every year since 1986.  Derby Dinner's 2012-2013 theatre season and its five shows is no different.

During the 2012-2013 children's theatre season, Derby Dinner will present Rapunzel (June), Captain Louie (Oct.-Nov.), A Fairy Tale Christmas (Nov.-Dec.), A Year With Frog and Toad (Feb.-Mar. 2013), and Awesome Allie: First Kid Astronaut (May-June 2013).  All public performances are to happen at Derby Dinner Playhouse, located at 525 Marriott Drive in Clarksville, IN.

Tickets for each show depend on the performance.  All 2012 lunch and breakfast shows are $21 and $16 respectively.  All 2013 lunch and breakfast shows will be $20 and $15, respectively.  Tickets can be purchased at the Derby Dinner website, at the box office, or by calling the box office at 812-288-8281.  More information on the season, student matinees, birthday parties, and more can also be found at the Derby Dinner Playhouse website.

Currently letting down her hair is Rapunzel, which runs until June 30.  The musical fairy tale centers on a girl with really long hair who has been locked away for most of her childhood.  More information on the show can be found in this article.

Coming next is Captain Louie, a Stephen Schwartz-created musical about one kid's imagination and the journey he takes on a Halloween night.  The production will run from Oct. 13-Nov. 17.

Next, A Fairy Tale Christmas will prepare for its Crystal Christmas Ball in the middle of the land of Happily Ever After.  The magical musical will run from Nov. 24-Dec. 22.

Starting the New Year will be A Year With Frog and Toad.  The Tony Award-nominated musical, based on Arnold Lobel's work, finds two friends hopping along throughout the year.  The production hops along Feb. 23-March 30.

Last, but certainly not least, Derby Dinner goes to outer space with Awesome Allie: First Kid Astronaut.  Join Allie as she transforms from normal girl to astronaut on a mission across the universe.  The production will blast off from May 25-June 29.

More information on any of the shows can be found at the Derby Dinner Playhouse children's theatre website.
