Assumption's Rose Theatre Company will present three shows this upcoming school year: West Side Story (November), the BLOOM Theatre Project (February 2013), and Alice in Wonderland (April 2013). All performances will take place at Assumption High School, located at 2170 Tyler Lane in the Highlands area of Louisville.

The Rose Theatre Company will open its season with the musical West Side Story. The musical is a modern day take on Romeo and Juliet where, instead of Montagues and Capulets, there's the Sharks and the Jets and the setting is the streets of New York. As the Sharks and Jets do battle, two members of the rival gangs wind up falling in love. West Side Story is set to take place from November 2-11.
The BLOOM Theatre Project will follow in February 2013. The program focuses on social justice and the theme of Mission Week. The annual production is created by Assumption students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Programs in the past have won the Today's Catholic Teacher Catholic Schools for Tomorrow Award for Innovations in Education. The BLOOM Theatre Project created will run from February 8-28.
Finally, Assumption will head to a magical world with Alice in Wonderland. Follow Alice as she finds herself lost in a world where Un-birthdays are celebrated, a rabbit keeps on being late, and a mean queen rules over all the land. Alice in Wonderland will go on from April 19-28.
