Women in prison, a murdering barber, and John Hughes tributes, among other subjects, can be found during Alley Theatre's 2010-2011 season.

Alley Theatre and Art Sanctuary will present a variety of shows during the season, including Point Break Live (currently running), Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (October), The Looking Glass Wars (December), The Last Days of Judas Iscariot (January 2011), Women Behind Bars (February-March 2011), Hughesical: The Musical (May-June 2011), and Furry Tales With a Twist (August 2011).

Meanwhile, an improv troup will also perform on Thursdays during Alley Theatre's season. Art shows and limited run productions will also occur during the season. Season tickets are available in a variety of packages. More information on the shows and tickets can be found at the Alley Theatre website.

The season has begun with Point Break Live, which will run until September 10. The show features Johnny Utah trying to capture a bank robbeing surfer, skydiver, and Zen-master named Bodhi. Utah will be played by a random member of the audience.

Performances of Point Break live will continue until September 10 at the Alley Theater, located at 1205 E. Washington Street in Louisville. Tickets are $18 general admission and $16 for students. Day of show tickets, meanwhile, are $20 and $18, respectively. High action seats are also available. More information on the show can be found in this article.

The Renegade Arts group will continue the season with Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demoon Barber of Fleet Street. The story includes a barber who murders and then has Nellie Lovett get rid of the bodies by putting them into pies. The show will take place October 8-31.

The Bad Actors Club will present The Looking Glass Wars from December 9-18. The production is based on Frank Beddor's books, which in turn were based on a new version of events that took place in Louis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland books.

The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, to take place January 14-29, looks at whether or not Judas can be redeemed in the days after betraying Jesus. Stephen Adly Guirgis created the production.

Following in February and March is the Tom Eyen created Women Behind Bars. As the title says, the production focuses on varioius incarcerated women in this parody of exploitation films.

Hughesical: The Musical, running from May 13-June 4, will take place from Alley Theatre and the Bad Actors Club. John Hughes's 1980s teen-related movies form the basis for this show.

Ending the season will be Dragonfly Theatre and The Alley Theatre for Young Audiences's production of Furry Tails With a Twist in August. Two actors will mix up their scripts and end up presenting fairy tales in strange order.
