
Get ready for a murder mystery, some night music, foxes, and an Irving Berlin classic during the upcoming season from The As Yet Unnamed Theatre Company.
AYUTC will present four shows in its upcoming season, including: Irving Berlin's White Christmas (November), The Butler Did It (March 2011), The Little Foxes (May 2011), and A Little Night Music (July 2011). Performances of all shows will take place in the MeX Theatre at the Kentucky Center for the Arts, located at 501 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
Irving Berlin's White Christmas will open the AYUTC season in November. In this production, two soldiers return home from World War II and begin new lives as entertainers and producers. A reunion of sorts among soldiers takes place in Vermont when the duo takes their Broadway show there.
Tim Kelly's The Butler Did It will follow in March 2011. The show parodies English mystery plays as the hostess of a party arranges for a murder mystery game to happen in the house. Yet, when an actual murder takes place, everything goes haywire as the party guests attempt to figure out what happened.
The Little Foxes from Lillian Hellman will take place in May 2011. The Lillian Hellman-created production is based in the early 20th century as Regina strives for financial gain and independence. Good timing and blackmail could help her achieve her goals. During the show, issues of theft, death, and family issues are presented.
Following will be the last show of the AYUTC season will be Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music. the show, to take place in July 2011, Sex and love are the focus as lawyer Fredrik Egerman, despite being married, attempts to find it. He has a fling with an actress, who in turn is dating a married man.
