The New York Times calls it an “Unheralded gem.”
“[Circle Mirror Transformation] is about real people exploring their lives through tiny leaps of faith and creativity,” says BackStage.
Circle Mirror Transformation, the latest production by Eve Theatre Company, and 2010 Obie Award winer, is a play about play.
Or rather, it is a play about the games that a certain group of people play; those that embark on the adventure of an adult acting class.
Marty, a former actress, has had some success with her acting classes for children, but finds that transferring those lessons to a group of adults can bring comedic—and dramatic—results.
Circle Mirror Transformation, by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Annie Baker, opens Thursday, May 21 and runs through May 31 at The Bard’s Town, 1801 Bardstown Road. Tickets are $22/19 and may be purchased online or by calling 502-759-1912. Tickets may be purchased at the door, on a first-come, first-served basis, if available.
