Nulu Festival is almost here, and it's going to be a doozy. On September 26th, the celebration will feature some of Louisville's best makers, bakers, cooks, artists, and doers. With over 700 blocks of East Market Street dedicated to the event, the public will have a variety of Louisville-based, regional and national performing musicians, artists, food & beverage vendors, crafts, retail businesses, and multiple beer gardens. "This year we have added several new vendors as well as a second stage." says Christine Vaughan, the Nulu Festival Event Manager.
The event is known as the kick-off party of the upcoming Idea Fest (September 29th-October 2nd) which showcases some of the nation's most innovative speakers, and encourages collaboration, exchange of creative ideas, and to #staycurious for a full weekend. Anyone planning on attending Idea Fest, is encouraged to add Nulu Fest to their calendar as well.
Nulu Festival is the opportunity to demonstrate Louisville's own great contributions. This event has had a great positive impact on the constantly developing area. Vaughan says, "NuLu introduces people to an up and coming part of town. It showcases the retail shops, food, and fun that can be found along East Market."
This festival is family friendly, and absolutely free to attend. The event has grown and continues to celebrate the revitalization of Nulu which includes some of the city's best boutiques, art galleries, food, and drinks. With the addition of a second stage, and maximum vendors, the Nulu will be bursting at the seams with fun and entertainment.
