To many people, learning about wine is nearly is fun as drinking it. Thankfully, Winston’s Restaurant at Sullivan University is offering a series of affordable evenings centered around wine education and, of course, tastings of the subject!

This monthly class (open to the public) will be held one Thursday of each month, beginning on January 26. That evening, the discussion will focus on wines of  Northern California and will be led by Joey Aavig of Southern Wine and Spirits. Experts from area wine distributors will be present each week to lead “Winston’s Wine Academy” and will provide geographic, historical and winery-specific facts. Guests will also receive some fancy tips on wine tasting in order to fully experience and appreciate each glass.

Reservations are required for each class and may be made by calling Winston’s at (502) 456-0980. Fee for this class is $25 which includes five tasting portions, light snacks and educational materials.  Additional dates currently booked include February 23 and March 22.
