A bicentennial fashion show will be the main event at Saturday's 2013 Bicentennial Commission luncheon. Come celebrate New Albany's landmark 200th year and meet some of the founding mothers and fathers of the city.

Ok, they're not the real mothers and fathers. They're the Living History Interpreters and they'll be on site wearing authentic early-1800's garb and telling you all about living in a time before toilets, electricity, or Starbucks. Your preteen will faint in horror at the thought of a time before texting.

The event begins at 11:30am with an entry fee of $20. This buys you lunch, door prizes, and a pass to the most outdated fashion show in town - in a good way!

Come join us at Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 2796 Charlestown Road in New Albany at 11:30am on Saturday 4/9/11.

    About Elise Jenkins

I'm a shopping addict on a budget who loves everything from one-of-a-kind boutique finds to the clearance sales at Macy's. I celebrate the small things in life, like $8 Gap jeans, the perfect V-neck tee at Target, and Zappos outlet sales. My passions include ridiculously high heeled shoes, celebrity gossip, chocolate, fashion photography, coffee, Muse, gin, and my amazingly patient boyfriend and his vivacious 4 year old who isn't afraid to tell me when my shirts are "soooo ugly!" I write a style blog called "TheShoportunist.com" which is a reflection of my love for all things fashion.
