    Bit to Do

According to WHAS11, the unnamed, out-of-state developer would like to turn the corner retail location and some of its affected neighbors on Douglass Loop into a CVS Pharmacy.

What about the CVS Pharmacy just down the street next to the Highlands Kroger (2440 Bardstown Road), you may ask?

That same developer is looking at possibly tearing that CVS down to make more parking in its place.

While more parking in the Highlands is always a good thought, I’m not so sure this is the way to go about it.

The late night dive we’ve all come to know and love may be replaced by yet another place to buy nail polish, potato chips, diet pills and motor oil.The Bardstown Road Overlay District Committee is in ongoing discussions about the developer’s proposal.

There has been no final decision made at this time, and no timeframe for when an agreement may be reached.

In the meantime, isn’t there a Walgreens just down the street for all of us to do our pharmaceutical/moisturizer/panty hose shopping at anyway?
