    Bit to Do

The Lyndon Area Business Association is known best for connecting the business owners of Lyndon with each other, and keeping commerce in the neighborhood flowing smoothly. But three times a year, they team with The Red Cross to sponsor the Community Blood Drive, an act which reaches far beyond the borders of Lyndon.

The blood drive will take place on Monday, July 12, from 3pm - 7pm,  at the Lyndon Fire Department located at 8126 LaGrange Road.

It's a great opportunity to help in a way that money can't buy.

    Blood Donation Facts

According to The Red Cross website:

-every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.

-more than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day.

-one out of every ten people admitted in the hospital needs blood.

-one donation can help save the lives of up to three people.

Donate and get free stuff, too!

And, as if the act of donating wasn't enough, you also get a FREE pint of Brusters Ice Cream for donating!

And, as if the donating and the free ice cream weren't enough, you also get a chance to win a 2010 Ford Focus for donating!

    So, let's recap:

    1) If you donate, you save lives.

    2) If you donate, you get free Brusters Ice Cream.

    3) If you donate, you could win a new car!

    Sounds like a no-brainer, doesn't it?

Again, Monday, July 12, 3pm-7pm at the Lyndon Fire Department.
