The Lyndon Area Business Association [4] is known best for connecting the business owners of Lyndon with each other, and keeping commerce in the neighborhood flowing smoothly. But three times a year, they team with The Red Cross [5] to sponsor the Community Blood Drive, an act which reaches far beyond the borders of Lyndon.
The blood drive will take place on Monday, July 12, from 3pm - 7pm, at the Lyndon Fire Department [6] located at 8126 LaGrange Road.
It's a great opportunity to help in a way that money can't buy.
Blood Donation Facts
According to The Red Cross website [5]:
-every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.
-more than 38,000 blood donations are needed every day.
-one out of every ten people admitted in the hospital needs blood.
-one donation can help save the lives of up to three people.
