Two exciting events for families are headed to Louisville--one involves death-defying stunts in a self-proclaimed “Greatest Show on Earth” and the other involves freakishly talented kids, from our very own Louisville, creating a clamor of rhythms that are sure to rattle the innards of your chest cavity. Bottom line, something will be moved at either of these events.

First, the infamous Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey bring their circus, Fully Charged, to none other than the KFC Yum! Center Thursday, March 31--Sunday, April 3rd. The classic circus boasts in a press release, “...a mix of amazing acts, death-defying stunts and never before seen performances...by Tabayara, the animal trainer who rides rearing stallions, directs dancing Asian elephants and stands eye-to-eye with 12 tigers.” Brian Miser, the Human Fuse, will launch through the air in a man-made crossbow as well as a host of other amazing feats. Tickets for Fully Charged are on sell now at Ticketmaster (

), The Kentucky Exposition Center and the Kentucky International Convention Center ticket offices, or charge by phone at 1-800-745-3000. Prices are $13, $19, $37, and $73.

Second, The Louisville Leopard Percussionists will host their “Big Gig” Sunday, February 27th, 3:00 at the Brown Theater. Tickets are available at

or at the door the day of the show. The LLP are a performing ensemble of 65 students musicians ages 7-12. Students learn to play such instruments as marimbas, xylophone, vibraphone, drum sets, timbales, congas, bongos, and piano to proficiency. And they opened for My Morning Jacket on the Waterfront. And they totally rock--I wouldn’t miss it!
