Often looked at as a consolation prize for teams that didn’t make the superbowl, the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl stands as a game that looks almost like a vacation for players, coaches, and various pro-football personnel, played annually in Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii the Pro Bowl is the NFL’s answer to the All-Star game and for the most part the athletes that have been selected to the game deserve the vacation.
With a kickoff, Sunday at 2:00 the pro-bowl will take the field with Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy acting as NFC coach and John Fox of the Denver Broncos acting as AFC coach.
All that said, there is a Louisville connection to the game, first and foremost with all star Denver Broncos Defensive End Elvis Dumervil, who will suit up for the AFC. Dumervil has been a constant for Denver this season adding an explosiveness to an already explosive defense.
