Forecastle is Louisville's big music festival--the one the world knows recognizes--but in the next month or so, Louisville will be hosting five more music festivals that should be on your radar. Most are cheap or FREE!

    Here's the rundown:

    NuLu Fest

NuLu Fest is a community event in NuLu to celebrate the area's business and culture. Music booking is done by sonaBLAST! Records Vice President Jaxon Swain. The lineup includes Shake Anderson, The Debauchees, Billy Goat Strut Revue, Small Time Napoleon, Nick Dittmeier, and Kyle James Hauser. This year's festival is on September 27 and occurs from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. Along with the music there will be micro-brewed beers, belly dancing, and retail booths. This event is FREE.

    Outsized Influence Festival

Outsized Influence Festival is on August 30 on the quad of Bellarmine University. This festival was organized by various parties on campus to celebrate Bellarmine's largely unknown music tradition. Each band playing this festival has a Bellarmine alum or student in it. Music is from 3 - 10 p.m. Six representatives from Louisville Street Food Alliance will be on site serving food to spectators. There are a total of 14 bands playing on 3 stages including Fire The Saddle who is coming together for its first show in eight years. This event is FREE.

The festival takes place from October 10-12 across multiple music venues in the city including The New Vintage and Dreamland.
