Louisville Ballet is set to close the season with performances of Rite of Spring, set to take place for one weekend only at the Kentucky Center for the Arts.

Rite of Spring performances will take place on April 8 at 8 p.m. and April 9 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.  All shows will go on in Whitney Hall at the Kentucky Center for the Arts, located at 501 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Tickets for each tw-hour, 10-minute show range in price from $25-$95 per person.  All tickets can be purchased at the Kentucky Center box office, the Kentucky Center website, or by calling the box office at 1-800-775-7777.

Louisville Ballet will present a variety of numbers during the performances, including Rite of Spring, a premiere of The Kingdom of the Shades, and the returning Troy Game.

Rite of Spring will take a 21st century look at a group trying to deal with their brutal realities.  The Kingdom of the Shades features Solor coming back together with Nikiya, who had been killed by snake bite.  Finally, Troy Game will feature an all-male cast in a comedic story of the male machismo.

More information on the show can be found at the Louisville Ballet website.
