More snow? Just means it’s still great weather for curling up with a good book. Hit up the Locust Grove Book Sale this weekend to hunt for new favorites. Bonus: You’ll be supporting the educational and preservation programs at the historic home.

Donated books on history, biography, mystery, cooking, travel, Kentucky and anything else you are interested in start at $1 for paperbacks and $2 for hardcovers. Rare and other collectible books are priced individually. Locust Grove has so many book donations that new selections will be added to the sale throughout the weekend. On Sunday, all books will be half price, or you can fill a bag for $10.

    About Kachina Shaw

A transplanted Hawkeye, I've now lived in Louisville longer than any other city. Can't live without: my husband and fur babies, coal-black coffee, peanut M&Ms, sunflowers, monthly vacations, books, walking paths, massage and a big purse.
