OMG, it’s time again. It’s been six long months, but now it’s time to get your book fix at the Friends of the Louisville Free Public Library Fall Book Sale this weekend.

Official Friends know about the Preview Night. It’s this Friday night, November 1, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Only Friends of the Library members may attend, but you can buy a membership at the door and you’re in. This is a great way to support the volunteer Friends organization and get first pick in your favorite genres.

The public book sale runs from Saturday, November 2, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 3, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the South Louisville Community Center, 2911 Taylor Boulevard.

Speaking from experience, you might want to throw a few boxes and bags in your trunk before you go. Boxes on site tend to go fast.

Prices for your new favorite books:

    Adult hardbacks $2

    Paperbacks and children’s books 2 for $1

    Oversized adult paperbacks $1

    Audio/video/books on tape $2

    About Kachina Shaw

A transplanted Hawkeye, I've now lived in Louisville longer than any other city. Can't live without: my husband and fur babies, coal-black coffee, peanut M&Ms, sunflowers, monthly vacations, books, walking paths, massage and a big purse.
