We think everyone needs a few days to recover after an event-filled Derby week, so this week starts easy and picks up speed as we get to the weekend. For location, time and cost, click on the link for each event. Check back at livemusiclou.com after the events for our full reviews.

    Wednesday (5/6) -

Tour De Compadres with Needtobreath, Ben Rector, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, and Colony House

This Iroquois Amphitheater show will showcase four lively, pop groups. It’ll be a packed evening of music that will leave you feeling positive and refreshed.

    Friday (5/8) -

Foxhollow Farm Sunset Concert Series presents Kyle James Hauser and Justin Paul Lewis

The Foxhollow Farm summer concert season is upon us! This monthly event combines Kentucky-proud jams, food and a beautiful setting. Starting the series are local talents, Kyle James Hauser and Justin Paul Lewis- expect some good eats, pleasant tunes and a glorious sunset over the farm.

    Wilco with Steve Gunn

Wilco, one of the greatest rock bands of the last twenty years, will be in town at the Iroquois amphitheater. Front man Jeff Tweedy has been doing his own thing with his son (as the duo Tweedy), so having Wilco back together for a tour is pretty great.

    Saturday (5/9) –

    Toro y Moi

Chaz Bundick, aka Toro y Moi, will bring his indie, chill, synth fusion to Louisville. His set at Forecastle a few years back was well received, so we’re looking forward to vibing with the Headliners crew.

The Who with Joan Jett and The Blackhearts

THE WHO ARE COMING TO LOUISVILLE! This legendary band, along with equally celebrated Joan Jett and The Blackhearts will be here to play an epic set to a packed KFC Yum! Center.

    About Live Music Lou

We are two public school teachers who are best friends, and who enjoy the music culture around town. We try to get out as often as we can with our hectic schedules and live a little through these musicians.
