The 2nd Annual "CQ Jam for WaterStep" will be held on Saturday, August 9th beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Captain's Quarters Riverside Grille in Prospect. WaterStep is a non-profit organization headquartered in Louisville that works to provide safe, sustainable water in communities throughout the world. Since 2001 WaterStep has improved the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in almost two dozen countries including Haiti, Kenya, India, the Dominican Republic, Pakistan, and Costa Rica.

Headlining the WaterStep benefit show is Country Music Hall of Fame member Charlie McCoy, a Grand Ole Opry veteran and accomplished studio musician who was also the music director for "Hee Haw" for 19 years. McCoy will be joined by local musician Hoot Hester, Nashville recording artist Lindsey Willinger, and local bands, CMN and The Decades.

The event will feature a waterfront stage for the local boating community. Tickets are $15 at the door, or $10 in advance if purchased at WaterStep's office and Captain's Quarters. A VIP upgrade is available for an additional $20 which includes premium seating, a meet-n-greet with Charlie McCoy and Lindsey Willinger (at left), and food and beverage tickets. All proceeds from ticket sales and a portion of the evening's food and beverage sales will benefit WaterStep.

"The appearance of Charlie McCoy makes the event very special for me", says Mark Hogg, Founder and CEO of WaterStep. "Growing up in Nashville, I listened to country music and visiting the Grand Ole Opry, and it makes me appreciate this so much more. The best part is that these musicians and the staff at Captain's Quarters are truly helping us save lives by supporting our safe water projects!"

Attendees are asked to bring their gently used shoes to the event to be donated to WaterStep and support safe water projects around the world.

Captain's Quarters is located at 5700 Captain's Quarters Rd. in Prospect. For more information, call 502-558-1033 or visit www.waterstep.org.
