    Bit to Do

    No Punchbacks

Le Petomane Theatre Ensemble takes Punch and Judy as inspiration in its latest original comedy No Punchbacks, which opens this week at The Bard's Town.

No Punchbacks will take place Feb. 7-11 and 13-17 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  All performances are to happen at The Bard's Town, located at 1801 Bardstown Road in the Highlands area of Louisville.

Tickets for each show are on what Le Petomane calls a "sliding scale", meaning audiences can pay between $8-$20 per person depending on what is affordable to that person.  Reservations can be made by e-mailing Le Petomane at Us@LePetomane.org or calling 502-609-2520.  Dinner reservations, which are separate from the show, can be made by calling The Bard's Town at 502-749-5275.

No Punchbacks is a Le Petomane Theatre Ensemble original comedy that takes on the traditions of Punch and Judy, a popular puppet show featuring the violently-bent Mr. Punch and wife Judy or other characters.  Le Petomane brings forth masks, some dancing, comedy, music, and slapstick violence to the show, leading to a night of unique comedy.

More information on the show can be found at the Le Petomane Theatre Ensemble website.
