Langhorne Slim & The Law to Play Headliners

Back in May Louisville’s neighboring city, New Albany, hosted the Boomtown Ball and Festival along its historic streets. The festival partly curated by local band, Houndmouth, featured one particular American singer-songwriter that left festival goers impressed.

Langhorne Slim boldly performed a solo acoustic set that swooned audience members and left them in a daze. While most singer-songwriters performing solo tend to provide a slow, relaxed set, Slim was anything but. His energy was wild, engaging, and untamable.

The Pennsylvania native is a modern take on traditional folk. His voice is an energized version of Cat Stevens. His songs are earnest and relatable making his music easy to fall in love with. Since 2004 Slim has performed with bands like, Cake, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, The Avett Brothers, and The Lumineers. He has produced six studio albums over the course of nine years. His latest album, “The Spirit Moves”, released August 7th.

Langhorne Slim and his band, The Law, are performing with Clear Plastic Masks this Thursday, August 20th, at Headliners. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here
