Louisville, KY, April 13, 2013 – Hwang’s Martial Arts is once again partnering with the Children’s Hospital Foundation to present the 2013 Martial Arts Showcase & Expo. This is the 16th year HMA has hosted its charity event. Money raised is used to fund a playroom in the newly renovated Kosair Children’s Hospital –St. Matthews.

This amazing event will feature multiple martial arts demonstrations by our 800 student body, including weapons routines and demonstrations of strength, speed, and Taekwondo techniques.  An awesome all-children demonstration will be performed featuring nunchucks as well as demonstrations by specialized exhibition teams from around the state.  The highlight of the event is an unbelievable once-a-year demonstration by Grandmaster Jung Oh Hwang! Grandmaster Hwang is a recipient of many community service awards around the nation, and holds the silver medal in the 1984 LA Olympics.

Event goers can enjoy vendor booths from local businesses such as Chick-fil-a, Your Community Bank, Texas Roadhouse, and Gattiland. There will also be balloon artists, face painting, silent auction, and children activities.

Join us for the 2013 Martial Art’s Showcase on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 11am-3pm at the Kentucky International Convention Center Hall 2D. Tickets are $5 in advance.  At the door, tickets will be $5 for children and $8 for adults. Proceeds go directly to the Children’s Hospital Foundation.
