I love food, exploring the best that Louisville has to offer, meeting new people, and of course if I can accomplish all of that in the name of great cause, all the better, (and makes the holiday season feel more important than bowl games which is generally hard to convince me of). Presented by Brown-Forman, you may dine out at a participating restaurant and 25% or more of your bill will be donated to House of Ruth for the support of Glade House. I particularly love the array of participating venues and am going to try and fit at least one lunch and two dinners in today because frankly I sleep better knowing I did a good thing locally on a full belly.
If you’re not familiar with the organization, the mission of House of Ruth is to care for individuals and families affected by HIV and AIDS in our community. We provide case management, housing assistance, advocacy and support for their physical, emotional and psychological needs. Every person who Dines in 1 of the 52 Restaurants will be automatically eligible to register for the Grand Prize. If you would like to make a donation, envelopes will be provided at the participating restaurant of your choice. If you are unable to join everyone on Wednesday, November 30, but would still like to help support the mission, you can make a tax-deductible donation by check payable to House of Ruth, or you can call 587-5080 to make a MasterCard donation.
