Enjoy the weather this weekend with wine, beer, and trolley rides! The nonprofit Jeffersonville Main Street Inc., along with the merchants in Jeffersonville are sponsoring a wine, brew, and food tasting event in the local shops of Jeffersonville, Indiana this Friday, September 19 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. The sixth annual Hops, Shops, & Chardonnay event allows participants to sample wines and brews inside locally-owned businesses while strolling through the lovely Historic Downtown Jeffersonville.

Like the Wine Walk & Shop, the Hops, Shops, & Chardonnay event showcases both the local businesses of Jeffersonville and the progress that has taken place in the district. The participating shops will offer samples from a wide variety of Indiana and Midwestern wines and brews inside their premises. There will also be live music, including performances by: Joyful Noise, Haley Shields & Sabrina Bays , Greg Ziesemer & Kriss Luckett, Mike O'Bryan, and Kevin Rees. The “hops” part of the event’s title has a double meaning— participants can hop on the trolley to visit the shops if they like.

Here are the Indiana wines to be featured at the event:

    •         Best Catawba
    •         Butler Yellowwood White
    •         Chateau de Pique Traminette

    About Rebecca Ball

As great lover of books and adventure, I grew up wanting to be anywhere else. I satiated some my wanderlust in the castles and expansive forests in Europe over the past few years. Now, I live in the city that will always be home with a cat who thinks she's a person.
