The Kentucky Science Center is hosting the 4th Annual exBEERiment to close out their Adult Series for 2015. exBeeriment is set for Thursday, October 8, from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Come join in the fun and discover the science of brewing, complete with live demonstrations. The entire KY Science Center will be open for exploration during the event! You can revel in the scientific achievements of past generations. But most importantly, you can interact with all the wonderful activities that are normally overtaken by oodles of children, all while having yourself a brew. Exhibits like Science In Play, The World Around Us, The World Within Us and, what I’m anticipating to be the fan favorite for the evening, The World We Create. It’s basically playtime for adults!
As of now, the event’s Facebook Group lists 14 confirmed breweries: BBC, Goodwood, Falls City, Apocalypse , Cumberland, Against the Grain , Gordon Biersch, Great Flood , Akasha, Tin Man, Alltech/KY Ale (Lexington Brewing Company), West Sixth, Monnik, Rooster Brewing. More are sure to follow!
Think you’ll get hungry? Don’t worry. Food trucks will be on site for some local eats. And exBEERiment has also added music to the festivities for this year! Howell Doddy and Squeeze-Bot will fill the KY Science Center with tunes.
Advanced tickets are $15 for members and $20 for non-members and must be purchase before October 8 at noon. Tickets will be available at the door, too: $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Designated Driver tickets are available for $10, so stay safe! There’s always Lyft and Uber, too. The event is, of course, 21+.
Don’t forget to see who can be the first in your group to encapsulate themselves in a giant bubble!
The Adult Series events for 2016 are megaBITE, GAMEology and hypotheSIPS. Dates for these events are TBD.
