Dysfunctional kids take over a show in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, which opens tonight at Hayswood Theatre.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will take place on Dec. 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, and 17 at 8 p.m.  Shows on Dec. 4, 10, and 18 will go on at 2 p.m.  A show on Dec. 11 will occur at 5 p.m.  All performances will go on at Hayswood Theatre, located at 115 S. Capitol Avenue in Corydon, IN.

Tiockets for each show are $12 for adults, and $10 for children and seniors.  Due to limited seating, reservations are highly encouraged and can be done by calling the Corydon Convention and Visitors Bureau at 888-738-2137.  (It's a toll free number.)  A limited number may be available at the door the night of the show.  More information on the show can be found at the Hayswood Theatre website.

Six unruly children are at the basis of The Best Christmas Pageant Ever who also lie, cheat, and cause general mayhem.  They attend church only for the free snacks but soon wind up in the church's annual Christmas show.  The town is turning out for this one, expecting a disaster.  Go see the show to find out if it is.

Alan Weller directed the Barbara Robinson-created production.

Following Pageant, Hayswood Theatre will present Barefoot in the Park at the theatre.  Auditions for this show will go on Dec. 4 and 5 at 7 p.m.  More information on the show can be found at this link.
