    Many music festivals are in the middle of nowhere. It give them a lot more room for activities and time to play until they can’t play anymore, but festivals like Lollapalooza in Chicago or Forecastle here in town are located in the heart of downtown so they have a strict curfew. (On site Forecastle shows end at 11 p.m.)

    Fear not, though, as Forecastle and our own local venues have supplied late night shows so that the good times don’t have to stop on at Waterfront Park. An added bonus with these shows is that if you are willing to stay up later, you can see bands that have been attracted by the festival for a price much cheaper than the actual cost of a ticket to Forecastle.

    Here are the late night shows that have been announced:

    Friday

    Headliners: St Paul & The Broken Bones w/ Curtis Harding—Doors at 11 p.m., Show at 12 a.m., Tickets-Adv $20 Day of Show $22, 18+

    Belle of Louisville: Mimosa, Doors at 11 p.m., Show at 12 a.m., $19, 18+

    Haymarket Whiskey Bar: Black Birds of Paradise, The Gallery Singers, Show at 12 a.m., $2, 21+

    The New Vintage: Bookshelf, Powell, Red Wolf, Show at 11 p.m., $5

    Louisville Beer Store back patio (746 E Market St): OK Deejays, Jason Shelton, Stanislav, 11 p.m.,

    ALSO in side show news…Nightmares On Wax will be playing an in-store DJ set at Guestroom Records (1806 Frankfort Avenue). DJ set begins at 12:30 p.m. This is the same day they are playing on the Forecastle stage.

    Saturday

    Haymarket Whiskey Bar: The Pass w/ special guests AND a secret DJ set “you don’t want to miss," $10, Doors at 11 p.m, The Pass at 12:30 p.m., Secret DJ set at 1:30 a.m., 21+
