    Bit to Do

This weekend is the last weekend to catch Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barabor of Fleet Street produced by Renegade Art Productions, LLC at Art Sanctuary and the Alley Theater. The show runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 8 p.m. Tickets are  $18 in advance ($17 for students) or $20 the day of the show ($19 for students).   Groups of 20 or more may purchase discount tickets for $14 each. The doors open at 7:15 p.m.

The direction by Sharon Murray Harrah was well done, and the sets are simple but effective.  Herschel Zahnd III does an excellent job as Sweeney Todd, and Kathryn Zacharski pulls off a wonderful and lovable Ms. Lovett.

The cast and chorus all did a fantastic job with vocals, although the timing of the piano seemed to be a bit off at the show I attended.  Overall it is an enjoyable show and a great way to celebrate the Halloween weekend.
