Flat12 Bierwerks and Tim Faulkner Gallery are teaming up to host FlatFest this Saturday, September 19, to end Craft Beer Week and to celebrate local artists, musicians, brewers and the local community of supporters themselves.
The festival itself runs from noon to midnight. Yeah, that’s right. FlatFest is offering up 12 full hours of Kentuckiana art, food and craft brew. Live music won’t begin until 6 p.m., but those sweet sounds will last until midnight as well. The event is free and 21+.
FlatFest’s graffiti and alternative artists — who hope to fry our visual sensors — are Julia Anne Davis, Cori Hills, Melody Dennison, Art Cartel, Patrick Jilbert and Jack Novak-Zarate. The local and regional musicians — who plan to blow our eardrums away — are The Jereactors, Hot Prowlers, Dick Titty Blood Punch, Second Man, Van Buren and more! Rumor has it there will be surprise guests, too! And Eh Cumpari’s food truck will be slicing up some savory gourmet pizzas with their wood-fired pizza oven. There will also be a variety of local, non-profit vendors.
Finally, we get to the brew! Flat12 will offer a selection of specialty taps along with their main draught list.
Centeno Grande — South of the Border version of Pogue’s Run Porter
FBA — Roggen Dunkleweiss aged in Bourbon Barrels
FUIBA HH — India Brown Ale.
And Flat12 won’t be alone either — Against The Grain will be there, too!
Sho'nuff — Golden Ale
The Brown Note — American Style Brown Ale
Something Local — IPA
Both breweries will also hold a brew education class in each other’s taproom. ATG’s is from 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m at Flat12. And, just incase your in Louisville and not at FlatFest, Flat12’s is from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m at ATG. If you hurry, it's possible to make it to both!
Come out. Drink Brew. Eat Grub. Listen to some tunes. Get drawn into a piece of art. And have a Flat-Out-Good-Time at FlatFest this weekend!
