Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a newbie armed with a New Year’s resolution, or someone who is just really interested in learning how easily certain parts of their body chafe, the Frostbite 5k is the perfect opportunity to get out there and run around like the raving lunatic you know you are deep down inside.

Sponsored by River City Races, the Frostbite 5k (that’s 3.1 miles to you and me) will be held this Saturday, January 7th at 9:00 a.m. at the Rugby Field in Cherokee Park.  It is the second leg of the Polar Bear Grand Prix.  The final leg of the three race event, the Snowman Shuffle 4 Miler, will be held February 4th at Hogan’s Fountain in Cherokee Park.  The first leg, the Reindeer Romp 4k, was held December 10th.

Online registration will close at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday, January 4th.  If you are unable to register online, you can still sign up by visiting Fleet Feet Sports prior to Saturday at 2239 Taylorsville Road between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. or the day of the race at Rugby Field from 8:00 a.m. until 8:45 a.m.

To sign up online or for more information about the Frostbite 5k, click here.  Or just stand outside your house and scream as loudly as you can until someone asks you what your problem is, then ask them to go look the information up for you.

    About Patrick Fawcett

When I was a boy, I met Darth Vader at Raceland Mall. I also got to hug a Jawa. I have spent everyday since then chasing that high.
