Kentucky Shakespeare isn’t done yet.
Their record-breaking summer season may be over, but Kentucky Shakespeare isn’t done bringing free entertainment and family fun to the Louisville community.
This Saturday, the group presents their Fourth Annual Saturday in the Park, sponsored by Metro Parks and Councilman David James.
The free event, which runs from 12-7pm, is jam-packed full of on-stage performances, including Ky Shakes’ Boy Meets Girl Meets Shakespeare and their two-actor version of The Tempest, along with the Rascals of Ragtyme Dixieland Band and Sons of Circus band. Strolling entertainment, children’s activities, food trucks and Will’s Tavern will also be part of the event. The full schedule of events can be seen online.
Be sure to gather around the stage at 5:45pm, when the 2015 Summer Season will be announced—and then make a date for next June with your lawn chair, your bug spray, and your favorite food trucks for the 55th season of Kentucky Shakespeare.
The Fourth Annual Saturday in the Park will be held Saturday, September 20th, at Central Park in Old Louisville, 1340 S. 4th St., 40208.
