    Twelfth Night

Kentucky Shakespeare is set to open its 54th Shakespeare in the Park series with the comedy Twelfth Night beginning tomorrow.

Twelfth Night performances will happen each night (except Mondays) from June 20-July 14.  Pre-show entertainment will begin at 7 p.m., and the play will begin at 8:30 p.m.  All performances are to happen at Central Park, located at the corner of 4th and Park in Old Louisville.

Tickets are not needed as this show is free to attend, but bring a lawn chair or blanket.  VIP service, which includes a chair, food, and other benefits, can be purchased in advance for $25 per person.  More information on VIP service can be found at the Kentucky Shakespeare website.

Twelfth Night is a Shakespearean comedy that explores fallling in love and hiding in disguises.  Against a backdrop of Celtic themes and Irish music, we see these disguises lead to some very awkward attempted romances.

The Shakespeare in the Park series will later feature The Taming of the Shrew as well as movie nights.  More information on the summer season can be found at the Kentucky Shakespeare website.
