So much for creating the perfect beast. Providence High School will play host to the John Hetzel Productions showing of Frankenstein, set to begin on Thursday.
Frankenstein will take place at Providence High School, located at 707 Providence Way in Clarksville, IN. Evening performances will take place on Oct. 21, 23, 28, and 30 at 8 p.m. Matinee performances will occur on Oct. 23, 24, 30, and 31 at 2 p.m.
Tickets for all shows will be available online at providencehigh.net. The evening shows are $14 per person. Matinee shows are $10 for general admission. Seniors and students are $8 for all shows. More information on the show can be found on the show's Facebook page.
In Frankenstein, set in the 19th century, the scientist Victor Frankenstein is looking to take creation into his own hand. He lost his parents and is looking to end other people's suffering. Unfortunately, after its creation, Frankenstein's monster leads to chaos and disorder.
The classic story is given a new look by local writers, retelling the story while also paying homage to the Mary Shelley novel and the Boris Karloff-led movie that came before it.
Providence alum John Hetzel directed the production and Tim Brown served as assistant director.
