Just in time for Halloween comes a werewolf in love, an over-the-top vampire, and a princess - all performed by two actors - in The Mystery of Irma Vep beginning tomorrow.
All performances of The Mystery of Irma Vep will take place in the Pamela Brown Auditorium at Actors Theatre, located at 316 W. Main Streetin downtown Louisville. Performances will take place at various times from Oct. 5 until Oct. 30.
Tickets for the show range from $20 to $59, depending on the show. Tickets can be purchased byy going to the Actors Theatre website, the Actors Theatre box office, or by calling 502-584-1205. More information on the show can also be found at the Actors Theatre website. Keep in mind the show is appropriate for those 11 years of age and older.
The Mystery of Irma Vep is Charles Ludlam's parody of multiple genres and has two actors performing up to eight characters. The action takes place in Mandacrest Estate, where Lord Edgar and second wife Lady Enid reside. Irma Vep is Edgar's first wife, and Edgar is still reeling from Vep's passing. Enid will soon look to avoid the same fate as Vep.
Also in time for Halloween, Actors Theatre is persenting Dracula, which is taking place in the Bingham Theatre until Oct. 31. Tickets for that production can be found here.
