Formerly a journalist for the Courier Journal, Katya Cengel turns her reporter’s eye to the behind-the-scenes world of America’s favorite sport. Bluegrass Baseball: A Year in the Minor League Life follows the local flavor of Kentucky baseball through the eyes of four bluegrass teams. Spending a season with players, families, coaches and fans, Cengel uncovers all facets of the game and the dedication of local athletes driven for love of the sport.
Starting at 7pm, Cengel will hit up the Carmichael’s Bookstore Frankfort Avenue location to sign her new release, read selections and discuss this good ol’ slice of American pastime.
