Historically, Louisvillians have slightly shunned their neighbors across the river but that has all changed in the music world with Houndmouth. Voted ‘Best Live Local Band’ in Louisville Magazine, Houndmouth may cross physical boundaries, but they habitually find musically common ground with their always vibrant crowds while delivering remarkable performances of soulful rock goodness.
If you’re lucky you made into Zanzabar last night for a little warm up performance and possible preview of what is to come Friday at 8, on the Port Stage, at Forecastle. Having already had international recognition, they will be a strong addition to some of the electronica acts and certainly worth attending. Look for the EP, out August 28th, coming soon and get them while they are still fairly ‘locals’ or take a train to Houston.
