Look no further than The Fashion Post, located at 2420 Lime Kiln Lane.
For 52 years owner Stanley and president (and son) Bob have been custom ordering, tailoring, and delivering only the highest quality of classic menswear to the well-dressed men of Louisville. Their belief that initial on-site tailoring should come at no cost and that alterations should be provided free of charge for the life of the garment are only two of the reasons behind their long-standing success and praise in the community.
While discussing what makes The Fashion Post different from a mall store or Men's Wearhouse, Bob mentioned the following:
"Although it sounds
cliché
our service is truly what allows us to stand apart from other menswear providers in Louisville. We view our sales as relationships versus transactions, and we strive to know our customer base to ensure we provide both on-trend and classic styles that are flattering and high-quality."
Once he filled me in on the popularity of Derby jackets (I had no clue - I'm not from here!) I had to know what makes a Derby jacket different from any other jacket.
Boy, did I see something incredible! Never in my life (not even while living in San Francisco) have I seen such a beautiful array of pastel jackets - designs ranging from outrageous to subtle in beautiful shades of coral and maize, salmon pink and pale purple, mossy green and cerulean... I was in love.
I have never wished to be a man, but I certainly considered ordering myself an extra-small... Tailoring comes free, right?
