The 1st annual Derby City Fashion Week (DCFW) kicks off tomorrow, Thursday April 28th and promises 4 days of fashion and fun as local and regional designers showcase their spring and summer lines in a series of runway events held on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings.

DCFW was created to provide marketing exposure for the incredibly talented local fashion designers, boutiques, and models here in Louisville. Local stylists and makeup artists will be working with the models to get them picture perfect for each of the runway shows.

This 4 day event will take place in The Grand Ballroom of The Hotel Louisville at 120 Broadway. General Admission tickets cost $25 per day and VIP tickets cost $50 per day, which come with special access to many of the workshops and meet and greet events.

I'll be on site at the kick off runway show at 7pm on Thursday evening - stay tuned for more!

    About Elise Jenkins

I'm a shopping addict on a budget who loves everything from one-of-a-kind boutique finds to the clearance sales at Macy's. I celebrate the small things in life, like $8 Gap jeans, the perfect V-neck tee at Target, and Zappos outlet sales. My passions include ridiculously high heeled shoes, celebrity gossip, chocolate, fashion photography, coffee, Muse, gin, and my amazingly patient boyfriend and his vivacious 4 year old who isn't afraid to tell me when my shirts are "soooo ugly!" I write a style blog called "TheShoportunist.com" which is a reflection of my love for all things fashion.
