Dress For Success Gals & Guys Hats & Ties Fundraiser drew quite the crowd last night in the Finish Line Suites at Churchill Downs. The event was the second annual and held as a fundraiser for Dress For Success, which helps promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

Shannon Cogan of WAVE 3 News hosted the event, and I'll say she's certainly as entertaining in person as she is on television. The event kicked off with a runway show of several of the participants in the Dress For Success program. The models were given a makeover by J Michael's Salon and Spa in St. Matthews, and clothing was provided by Macys and Gift Horse. The participants showcased their looks as well as their fresh new looks for the crowd.

Following the initial runway show with those participants the Derby fashion show began. This show showcased looks for Oaks, Derby, Cocktail Parties, and Galas. Clothing was provided by Rhodes, Rodeo Drive, Glasscocks, and Sunny Daize. Some of the looks provided by these local boutiques included clothing from major designers seen on many Hollywood celebrities like Tadashi Shoji, DVF, and Carmen Marc Valvo.

After the shows completed there was still plenty to keep the crowd busy and entertained. There were both live and silent auctions, plenty of folks to mingle with, and a good time to be had by all.
