Tickets can be purchased online at the Derby Dinner website or by calling the box office at 812-288-8281. Information on a New Year's Eve celebration, which includes Plaid Tidings, can also be found at the Derby Dinner website.
Plaid Tidings is essentially a sequel to Forever Plaid, which features a reincarnation of four male singers who sang 50s pop classics. Plaid Tidings features the same four singers, who are sent back down to Earth and told (via a phone call from Rosemary Clooney) to put on a Christmas special.
Musical numbers include holiday classics like Let It Snow, a Jingle Bell melody, and Twuz the Nite B4. The singers will also take part in an extremely-shortened version of The Ed Sullivan Show.
The Plaid Tidings cast features Nicholas Mason as Frankie, Matthew Brennan as Sparky, John T. Lynes as Jinx, and Matthew Bryan Feld as Smudge. Lee Buckholz directed the production, Scott Bradley was musical director, and Megan Muller served as choreographer.
While Plaid Tidings is taking place, the children's theatre will present Christmas and Candyland. The production will begin on Nov. 20.
