Her music is still mixed at clubs and sampled in hip hop, The Legend...The Music...The Voice.  She is simply Ms Ross, and she is coming to town at Kentucky Derby Time.  The Louisville Palace just announced that Diana Ross will be performing April 26th, the Thursday before Derby Week. Tickets go on sale next Friday, March 2nd at Noon.

Diana Ross and The Supremes, almost single handedly built the Motown Record empire in the 60's with Berry Gordy.  In the 70's she was nominated for an academy award, topped the charts during the disco craze.

In the 80's she modeled for Michael Jackson's surgeons.  Okay maybe an unfair shot, but she will forever be tied to his obsession with her. In The 90’s, she performed at Super Bowl XXX and touched Lil’ Kim exposed breast at the 1999 MTV Video Music Awards.  The 2000’s have been a bit calmer, and sad with the passing of her protégé Jackson.

Ross, now 67,  brings her talents and her incredible song library (eighteen #1 hits) to The Louisville Palace.  And while I have not be able to confirm it, I believe this will be a continuation of her  More Today Than Yesterday: The Greatest Hits Tour.  The Tour was dedicated to Michael Jackson and started in 2010.  It features an updated all-new set list to include some of herlater work, plus a new stage design, and costumes galore.

Tickets prices will be $69.50 to $350 dollars, and will be available starting Friday, March 2nd at louisvillepalace.com , livenation.com and all ticket master outlets or by phone 800-745-3000.
