On Monday, June 9th, Dare to Care Food Bank and The Village Anchor will be teaming up to help end hunger and you can be a part of it too! From 5pm-10pm, a portion of proceeds from all food and drink orders will go to Dare to Care.

Located here in Louisville, Dare to Care started in 1969 when nine-year-old Bobby Ellis died of malnutrition on Thanksgiving Eve. Through Ellis' death, Dare to Care was born to ensure that no one in this community lacks enough food to live an active, healthy lifestyle. Just in the past year, they have provided 13 million meals to over 192,000 people across the state. They work daily to fulfill their mission "to lead our community, to feed the hungry, and conquer the cycle of need".

The award-winning restaurant, The Village Anchor Pub & Roost, is located in the quaint village of Anchorage. The Village Anchor is a bistro-pub that serves upscale Southern comfort food and features a wide selection of crafts beers, a boutique wine list, and 68 different bourbon selections. Not only the food, but also the atmosphere will leave you to want for nothing.

With Dare to Care, The Village Anchor, and you, we will be able to help someone else want for nothing as well. If you can’t make it out this Monday, the Village Anchor donates a portion of every Monday night’s proceeds to a different charity.
