Louisville prides itself on the ability to keeps things local so why should the radio stations we listen to be excluded from this goal?

    They shouldn’t.

In keeping with this spirit, Crescent Hill Radio is hosting its Inaugural Fundraiser, Raise a Note for Local Music, this Sunday, April 28, at Expo Five.

The event is all ages and there will be food and adult beverages available for purchase.

Kathy Weisbach, the General Manager and founder of the station, said,“Crescent Hill Radio, from day one, has been about supporting and promoting local and regional music. We welcome any and all types of local music, and we also feature a variety of other local programming as well, from humor to film to sports to catch-all entertainment.

“We hope Raise a Note will become an ongoing part of what we are doing at the station. We do know one thing for sure: It’s going to be a fun event leading into Derby week.”

Musicians scheduled to play at Raise a Note for Local Music include Nick Peay, kRi N Hettie, Robbie Bartlett, Anton Mink, Appalatin, Alanna Fugate, Bridge 19, Memphis Beck & Friends, Discount Guns, plus a traditional hoedown with Trappers Keepers & T Claw Calling.

    Yes, a hoedown.

Admission is a $10 minimum donation or free with a Crescent Hill Radio membership, which is $25 and can be obtained at crescenthillradio.com. Raise a Note for Local Music begins at 4 p.m. and continues until 10 p.m.

So come out on Sunday and support local music and local radio.
