Genuine question: Is it possible to be attracted to a milkshake?
If you know me at all, you know of my sugary magnetism toward The Comfy Cow. I also wrote recently about the adventures of my twenties with libations. On a personal level, ice cream trumps alcohol. But what if you don’t have to choose? And this is why I love The Comfy Cow. The company understands this psyche.
Thus is born Adult Milkshakes happy hour. For all of you who are of legal drinking age, you’re going to want to cavort on over to the Frankfort Avenue Comfy Cow location. On Saturday, January 25th, between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., author Stephen M. Ringler will be holding a signing for his book Adult Milkshakes. This event entices the ice cream-devouring alchies of the ‘ville. And I feel like it is an ingenious brainchild. Learn all about Mr. Ringler’s 32 creative shake recipes that incorporate 19 liqueurs along with an assortment of other palatable milkshake supplements… including chocolate. He has a recipe for every day of the month plus one fun shake encore.
The cool thing is that in the spirit of book, alcoholic, and dessert intoxication (a triple threat), The Comfy Cow will be providing eager patrons with samples of two of Mr. Ringler’s concoctions.
Raspberry Rave Milkshake: Chambord Liqueur, fresh raspberries, and signature Comfy Cow vanilla ice cream= voila!
Black Forest Milkshake: Crave Chocolate Cherry Liqueur, Kirschwasser Natural Cherry-Flavored Brandy, crumbled chocolate wafers, and signature Comfy Cow vanilla ice cream. Oh yes please.
The Black Forest Milkshake will definitely be luring my chocoholic self. Confession: That is the shake that had me questioning whether you can legitimately be attracted to dessert. But I can also already just savor the Raspberry Rave in my mind, and it sounds entirely luscious.
I know what I will be sampling on January 25th. Comfy Cow, we will meet yet again. Darn you and your crafty ice cream-making.
