I'm looking forward to kicking off the holiday spirit this year at The Palace Theater for Cirque Dreams, a Christmas circus show with aerial and acrobatic acts directed by Neil Golderg.
Their website says, "Marvel at gingerbread men flipping through the air, toy soldiers skillfully marching on thin wires, snowmen daringly balancing, icemen sculpting powerfully, penguins spinning, puppets caroling and reindeer soaring high above a landscape of holiday wonderment. An original musical score with some holiday favorites combined with dazzling costumes and a sparkling stage set makes CIRQUE DREAMS HOLIDAZE the perfect gift of entertainment for the entire family."
Cirque Dreams evolved from Cirque Productions (began in 1993) and is actually an international brand, entertaining over 20 million people since it began in 2002. The production stems from Dream Studios, a production complex that houses rehearsal spaces, costume manufacturing and more. The troupe scouts for talent all over the world and provides direction and training to young artists at the studios and in the shows.
The show Cirque Dreams: Holidaze will be at the Palace theater from November 23 to November 28. See the Palace website for exact show days and times. Tickets range from $19 to $54.
