    Bit to Do

OK, look: I'm not going to blame you if you don't dress up like the Easter bunny for the 18th annual Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade. (Who knows where those pictures would end up, right?) That said, you really should check out the parade, which begins 11:30 a.m. Saturday in front of St. Mark's Episcopal Church (2822 Frankfort Ave.) and makes its way down Frankfort Avenue, from Stilz to Haldeman avenues. Your kids should love it.

The weather is supposed to be gorgeous, so expect a nice-sized crowd. Also worth noting: councilwoman Tina Ward-Pugh is this year's grand marshal. (No word yet on her costume.) Judges in front of the Irish Rover, you should know, will give out "Good Ears" awards to the most outrageous bonnet and the parade's most creative float.

And here's the silver lining. Plenty of free candy should be available. My recommendation? Shove a few handfuls in your pockets and use it in the Easter basket you plan to give your child Sunday morning. Should save you a trip to the store.
